After the six masterpieces, Blancpain started to combine some complications and release them in limited releases. In 1993, they introduced the 5585 with fewer than 400 pieces made in all metals (yellow, rose, white and steel). The 5585 is an automatic perpetual chronograph that combines both calibre 1185 and the 55 perpetual model. Case size is around 34mm (which was standard for that time) , 40mm lug-to-lug, and a thickness of around 11.5mm.
Here is a very very early example of the reference, in rose gold, with a stunning almost champagne shimmery dial. And to make it even more special, caseback is engraved with No. 1. a nice patina is developing on the roman numerals. There are some scratches from wear, but overall in good condition. Watch only.
This one will be very hard to let go of.
